WELCOME TO OUTLAST

Work with me to Live Better, Longer

Welcome. I help women who want to level up their metabolic and hormonal health to feel and look better. My health coaching is longevity-minded to help you live vibrantly. With a background in OB/GYN and Lifestyle Medicine, I am able to combine my medical knowledge with a holistic perspective that gets to the root cause of your wellness struggles -- no bandaid approach here. In short, I cut through the noise and help you achieve more than you thought possible.

Why outlast

Charles Darwin popularized the phrase "survival of the fittest." As living organisms, we are instinctively programmed to fight, survive, outlast. However, Western diets and sedentary lifestyles are suppressing this evolutionary drive and are depriving countless individuals of healthy years. This can look different for different people -- weight gain, a new diagnosis of high blood pressure or diabetes, accelerated age-related changes, feelings of sadness/guilt, or generalized fatigue.

The Romans built concrete structures dating back to *** BC that still stand today. At their core, they are composed of nothing more than water, lime, and ash. What separates Roman concrete, however, is a process called self-healing wherein the concrete grows stronger with time. By marrying these simple ingredients in a precise way, the Romans were able to build something that endured for millenia.

Outlast seeks to give you the building blocks for wellness and the freedom to use them to architect a life filled with more healthy years.

About Me

Megan Alexander is a resident doctor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, she completed her undergraduate degree at Stanford University and her Masters in Community Health and Prevention Research at Stanford School of Medicine. While there, she worked closely with the Stanford Prevention Research Center. She won an award from the Stanford Center on Longevity for her work applying physical activity to help individuals age in place. She earned her medical doctorate from Boston University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society and graduated cum laude.

Her passion for lifestyle medicine — strategic use of nutrition, physical activity, sleep, mindset, and social communities to maximize health and lifespan — began in high school. Through long distance running, she developed an athlete mindset of continuous self-improvement for optimizing performance. After seeing personal gains, she further studied how these same habits can address the US’s most common, debilitating conditions. She finds immense fulfillment from sharing the power of these changes with others. Her mission is to support others in maintaining their greatest asset–their health. Over the years, this has taken the form of working to reform medical education through publishing peer-reviewed education standards, contributing to the Lifestyle Medicine: Improving Women’s Health Across the Lifespan textbook, and leading numerous nutrition cooking workshops. When not at the hospital advocating for patient-centered reproductive health, find her walking Houston’s Hermann Park, meal prepping, or gathering a group to try the next restaurant on her bucket list.

"Dr. Alexander was very helpful when I was diagnosed with diabetes. I was a junk food junkie and had no idea what a healthy plate even looked like. She worked with me to adjust my diet and incorporate more plant based foods. Through her approach, I was able to get off half of my medicine within 6 months! At my next PCP visit, if I can sustain my A1c range they are going to take me off my diabetes medication completely. I will always be grateful for her guidance."
